Tips for Starting a New Grade.
Hey guys! Gabby here!
School is going into the second week for me. I’m in grade seven and my sister is in grade one. Going into a new grade can be hard because not only are you going into an higher grade in itself, you are learning new and harder things, meeting new people and teachers, having a new schedule, and even having a new classroom. It is all enough to make you feel nervous.
Let me tell you, this is going to be my ninth year of school and I was just fine. Once the first few days of school pass you’re used to everything and everyone. That’s what I’m here to talk to you guys about today. The tips are quite simple really but, we often forget! So, let’s get started!
Going into a new classroom with new people is hard because you may not know people. Maybe you know people but have never talked to them or you might get lucky and get a friend you know. If you do get a friend that you know then that’s great but, why not look for even more friends? I’m not telling you to necessarily “leave” your current friends but, it’s nice to have lot’s of friends in different classes or even out of school too.
The first few days or even weeks for some people can be stressful and that is the complete wrong mindset to enter into a new grade. Sure it’s going to be a challenge but, thinking that may only make you feel worse! Think positive and relax. 🙂 Take it day by day and if you are having problems, don’t be shy or afraid to ask a parent, relative or grown up you trust for help.
3.) Enjoy It!
School is fun. How? You have to have to get up early, go to sleep early, do homework, projects, and presentations! As boring and not fun you think school is, it’s actually a really awesome time! Plus, learning new things everyday can be fun.
Do you have any tips on how to survive going into a new grade?
Talk to me, ciao for now!
