Today I’m going to talking about how to stay healthy. 3 Foolproof Ways to Stay Healthy, in fact! Staying healthy is very important and can help you later on. As you know I am a very active girl and to stay active I need to make sure that I stay healthy and strong. So here are a few ways to stay healthy.
A big chunk of your health is your diet, it’s what you eat. Fun fact: Did you know that to stay healthy you need to eat healthy? My mom always tells me that it’s 80 percent diet and 20 percent exercise! That’s cool! Anyways, when I say diet I don’t mean go on a diet, I just mean watch what you eat. My mom describes it to me by saying that I have to feed my body the right type of fuel or “gas” for my body to run at its best.
You should be eating plenty of fruits and veggies everyday. The main food groups you should have everyday are: Fruits, protein, veggies, dairy, and a little bit of carbs. Also you need to make sure you have at least 8 cups of water. Water is very important as it keeps your body going and helps everything run normally.
Like I said before exercise is also very important. One way to get exercise is going to the gym. You can join your city’s YMCA as a family but, if you don’t like going to the gym, there are many other things and activities to do. For examples like sports. Sports are definitely the most fun ways to get exercise. There are more than 8,000 sports in the whole whole world!! That’s insane! If you don’t like going to the gym or playing sports you can on your electronics. Yup, you can exercise right from your very own home! You can go on Wii, grab Just Dance and groove! It’s really fun and you get good exercise. If you don’t like dancing, do yoga! All you need is a mat! My mom has a mat for each of us and we love trying different poses.
Sleeping is also very important. After a long day you need sleep. When you yawn, your body is telling you that your tired and need sleep. Sleeping is also good for you because when you sleep, it’s like your whole body is a machine and it need recharging. Going to sleep late and waking up late isn’t very good. You need to get yourself in a habit of going to sleep and waking up early. I know, when it’s the weekend you just want to relax, stay up, and wake up super late. As nice as that sounds you should consider not doing it. After the weekend passes, it’s back to your old routine. You’ll probably notice that it’s harder to wake up and go to sleep doing that. I know I have a hard time when I do that and I do my best to go bed at a good time. Even though I want to play Minecraft!
